The Department of Cultural Affairs implements various cultural programs for the well-being, harmony and the promotion of culture of the country. The State Art and Sculpture Festival is one of the pivotal state events among them. Applications are called for the annually held State Art and Sculpture Festival, organized jointly by the Department, the State Advisory Council of Visual Arts and the Ministry in charge of the subject of culture.

Awards/Certificates and Cash prizes will be awarded for each category as follows
- First Place Rs. 40,000.00
- Second Place Rs. 30,000.00
- Third Place Rs. 20,000.00
- Merits (10) Rs. 5,000.00 (Rs. 5000.00X10= Rs. 50,000.00)
